Precious (2009) Worth the Watch

       I was quite interested in this movie from it's very first preview. It was a film, that to me was very "real". I thought the acting was great and the story very dramatic. Monique was amazing as was Gabourey Sidibe as Precious. Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz also gave great performances surprisingly. Precious is a movie about the trials and tribulations of an overweight, black girl named Precious that is set in modern day Harlem. She seems to embody with real intensity - the welfare underclass, that represents many within the ghetto across America. It's a great movie and as sad as it is, it will make you feel a little better about life and give you a different perspective about life.
